Job Description

A well-established international gaming and hospitality operator is looking to appoint an experienced Managing Director to lead the performance, operations, and strategic development of two casino properties in Cairo.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a proven casino professional who knows how to balance operational excellence, commercial performance, customer experience, compliance, and people leadership in a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of two established venues and play a key role in driving sustainable growth, strengthening internal culture, and ensuring the highest standards across all areas of the business.

Reporting to the International Operations Director, the Managing Director will oversee the full operational management of both casinos while ensuring all activity is aligned with local regulatory requirements and internal corporate standards.

The Opportunity

This role requires a visible, hands-on leader with strong commercial instincts and the ability to manage complex casino operations with confidence and precision. You will be expected to lead from the front, build credibility across teams, maintain high operational standards, and create an outstanding guest experience while delivering against financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full operational performance of two casino properties
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence, particularly during peak trading periods
  • Support and guide departmental leaders to ensure consistency, accountability, and operational effectiveness
  • Build strong relationships with teams and foster a positive, stable, and performance-driven workplace culture
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, internal controls, and company procedures
  • Drive high standards of service and customer experience across both venues
  • Develop and implement initiatives that improve guest satisfaction, retention, and loyalty
  • Remain visible and accessible to customers, building strong relationships and reinforcing a premium service culture
  • Act as a key representative with relevant external stakeholders, institutions, and business partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the local market and broader operating environment
  • Take ownership of budget delivery, cost control, and overall financial performance
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimise revenue and improve operational efficiency
  • Develop and execute strategic commercial and marketing initiatives to support continued business growth

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a strong operational leader with significant experience in a senior management position within the casino industry.

You will be commercially minded, operationally credible, and confident managing teams, customers, and stakeholders in a dynamic and demanding environment.

The ideal candidate will offer:

  • Significant management experience within a casino environment
  • Previous experience in a broader general management capacity within gaming, hospitality, or leisure as an advantage
  • International or expatriate experience as a plus
