Position: Managing Director
Reporting: Group CEO
Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: 70 - 80,000 AED + Education Allowance + Bonus
Essential Requirement:
Open to candidates based within or outside of UAE but GCC work experience on a similar level and industry is a must
Bachelor&aposs Degree in Business Administration or Engineering or Equivalent
Minimum 15 years of experience, in which at least 5 years should be either on a General Manager / Director / Business Head or VP level
Must have worked with similar scale of organizations and within the same field of business such as Heavy Equipment / Construction Equipment etc.
Experience in strategic planning and execution
Excellent negotiating & communication skills
Job Description
To effectively develop and implement the Business Strategy and Operational Plan in coordination with the CEO
To manage business operations in adherence to the core values, vision and mission to successfully become the customer choice
To provide necessary business intelligence information and reports to the CEO on a timely basis in order to facilitate decision making on aspects like progress on opportunities, key challenges and recommend solutions etc
To manage the day-to-day business operations with respect to Sales, After Sales, Parts, Marketing, Procurement, Warehousing and General Operations with the objective to satisfy customers and principals in line with the strategic architect business model
To provide leadership and tactical directions and act as the ambassador of its brands in assigned territories
To achieve the agreed financial KPIs in line with the approved Budget and/or other operational KPIs as agreed with the CEO
Develop 5 years business strategic plan in consultation with the CEO
Participate in review of global, regional and local competitive market intelligence to assess business opportunities, development plans and economic threats
Participate in the identification of international and regional business partners, assessment of acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and alliances and lead due diligence activities in order to assess the business implications
Provide strategic direction to all department managers/managers during the strategic planning cycle, review all strategic plans and financial budget figures in order to ensure adherence
Develop operational objectives in terms of sales volumes, market share, customer and principal satisfaction
Oversee the execution of the Business Plan (Sales Plan, Marketing Plan, Procurement Plan etc.) and take remedial action on a timely basis to ensure achievement of the financial and operational objectives
Review the financial statements in order to ensure that business and financial plans are met; identify gaps in business performance and together with Department Managers/ Managers set action plans and corrective measures and monitor implementation
Review the performance of departments against the approved budget and other operational objectives and the balanced scorecard objectives; identify gaps and corrective measures to be implemented
Recommend the short term and long-term resources needed in terms of Human Capital, Capital Requirements, Facility Infrastructure, Information Technology together with the CEO, is provided with the right level of support and required solutions
Review all commission and incentive schemes for Managers/ Department Managers/Sales employees in order to ensure alignment of staff behavior to support the achievement of financial and balanced scorecard objectives
Manage the implementation of and adherence to operating policies, processes and guidelines to support the overall objectives
Full responsibility of management and control of the operations in compliance with policies and procedures
Identify new business opportunities and participate in the implementation of expansion projects, in adherence to approved Business Plans, for entering into new business sectors, new markets, and new product categories
Review and sign-off all business cases for major exceptions to business plans and established guidelines and procedures before obtaining final sign-off from the CEO, where applicable
Lead all major negotiations with principals in order to preserve the interests of the Group and achieve principal satisfaction
Report periodically to the CEO on the progress of large-scale business transformation projects, business performance, opportunities and threats, business performance and advice solutions or action plans
Keep abreast with all legal requirements and ensure full adherence of the Group Policies, Procedures and Guidelines as well as other regulatory requirements
Maintain knowledge of developments and trends and best practices in the area of business management and corporate governance, in order to ensure innovative and state-of-the-art support functions and business solutions
Plan and control staffing and development of the managers and staff in order to ensure readiness of leadership team and technical expertise
Review the performance and potential of managers and make/approve decisions relating to appointment and termination of direct reports, promotions and salary adjustments, and ensure career opportunities for high performers in coordination with CEO
Coaching, counselling, and disciplining Managers/Staff by communicating values, strategies, and objectives
Assigning accountabilities; effective planning, monitoring, and appraising & recognizing high achievers
Ensure increasing levels of managers&apos satisfaction index
Make requisite attempts to handle all grievances raised by subordinates in a prompt and effective manner
Ensure that the Code of Conduct, Business Ethics and standards are strictly followed and adhered to by the employees and report violations to the concerned parties as per Policy
