JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to optimize production efficiency while maintaining cost-effective and high-quality outputs. The role supports design for manufacturability, resolves technical production challenges, and ensures smooth introduction of new processes and products using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products
- Create and maintain BOMs and routings for new and existing part numbers
- Design and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to enhance efficiency and quality
- Develop, test, and justify tools, machinery, and equipment for new or improved production methods
- Identify and resolve production workflow issues such as bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and machine reliability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles
- Prepare facility layouts and equipment drawings using CAD software
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing and production teams
- Recommend and implement improvements to processes, methods, and controls
- Support quoting and order management processes with technical input
- Develop and maintain technical procedures, reports, and documentation
- Participate in problem-solving activities and root cause analysis
Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine design, welding, and CNC machining
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Basic knowledge of Six Sigma principles (certification is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Mechanically inclined with attention to detail
Qualifications
- 02 years of experience (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field)
- Lean Green Belt / Black Belt or Six Sigma certification is an advantage
