Role Overview
The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing operations for various products (e.g. PC, Phone, Server). This position is responsible for overseeing financial closings, reporting, statutory compliance, audits, and tax requirements, while also providing analytical support to management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with local plant leadership and remote regional/global functional teams. Deliver financial insights and recommendations to the Finance Leader to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Control Accounting: Oversee all plant accounting activities, including general ledger and cost accounting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Month-End Close: Lead month-end closing processes for the plant. Perform journal bookings and monitor shared service team performance to ensure timely and accurate execution of core accounting functions.
- Reconciliations Balance Sheet Reviews: Review reconciliation files and lead quarterly balance sheet review processes.
- Process Development Governance: Develop and manage processes such as fixed asset management, freight cost tracking, and return material acceptance. Implement and maintain strong accounting governance frameworks.
- Inventory Management: Supervise physical inventory counts, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and present variances to senior management.
- Project Support: Provide financial review and support for various projects and initiatives.
- Operational Support: Assist local stakeholders with fixed asset and invoice submission processes in coordination with shared services.
- Statutory Regulatory Compliance: Review statutory bookings and files, support annual report preparation, and manage statistical survey submissions.
- Audit Tax Representation: Represent the company during external audits and tax authority reviews if required.
Position Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing / cost and general accounting
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Experience working in international and matrixed environments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent; 10+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
- Proficiency in SAP ECC/S4
- Fluent communication in English
