The Marine Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all structural aspects of a construction project, including the planning, coordination, and execution of structural works such as foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and structural steel. This role ensures that all structural activities are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety standards and engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all structural construction activities on-site.
- Review structural drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure clarity and feasibility.
- Coordinate with consultants, structural engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve design and execution issues.
- Ensure structural works adhere to quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Plan work schedules, manage manpower and equipment deployment for structural tasks.
- Monitor progress and productivity of structural activities; implement corrective actions when needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure structural integrity and safety compliance.
- Manage concrete pouring, steel erection, formwork, rebar installation, and related structural tasks.
- Control materials requisition and ensure timely availability of structural materials on-site.
- Maintain daily and weekly progress reports and present updates to senior management.
- Enforce safety practices and ensure site safety compliance among workers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth sequencing of structural and non-structural works.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification or PMP (preferred).
- +18 years of experience
- At least 6 years of proven experience in Marine construction projects is a must.
- Stronge background in managing Marine infrastructure works such as ports, jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, or offshore structures.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent English Level.
