Marine Engine Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Completed High School or Secondary School or ALS certified
• ITI certificate or similar in diesel engines, preferably marine
• Min. 6 years as a technician working on marine diesel engines and gearboxes

Task Description:

• Performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on marine diesel engines (main engines & auxiliary engines) using technical manuals.
• Test, repair and overhaul marine engines, hydraulic system , bow & stern thruster units.
• Propeller and tail shaft removing and refitting and replacingseals.
• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management including all mechanical works.
