Senior Marine Technician – ABN MARINE

Position: Senior Marine Technician

Industry: Marine / Shipping

Experience: 8–10+ years

Employment Type: Full-Time

Note: Candidates currently based in Qatar/GCC will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in the Marine/Shipping industry, preferably in a senior technical role.

• Proven experience in vessel maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and technical operations.

• Strong knowledge of marine machinery, engines, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and marine equipment.

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of vessels and marine equipment.

• Good knowledge of Flag State, Class requirements, statutory inspections, and marine safety standards.

• Experience in coordinating with Vessel Owners, Masters, Chief Engineers, Crew, Shipyards, Workshops, Class, and Service Providers.

• Ability to identify technical issues, coordinate repairs, and ensure timely resolution of vessel breakdowns and maintenance requirements.

• Experience in dry-docking, vessel inspections, repairs, spare parts, and technical procurement will be an advantage.

• Ability to review and maintain technical records, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and vessel documentation.

• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple vessels and technical requirements.
