Role Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Market Surveillance Specialist to join our Compliance team. You'll be on the front line of protecting millions of users from financial crime — monitoring trading activity, investigating suspicious behaviors, and safeguarding platform integrity at a scale few compliance roles can offer. You'll work closely with teams across Product, Risk, and Compliance to continuously sharpen our surveillance capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Monitor trading activity to detect suspicious behaviors such as market manipulation and wash trading
- Investigate flagged activities using trading data, user profiles, and other relevant information
- Review and optimize surveillance rules in collaboration with the Product Development team
- Support KYC/AML operations, user onboarding reviews, and escalation of high-risk cases
- Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, findings, and actions taken
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years in market surveillance, compliance, or risk management within financial institutions or the crypto industry
- Solid understanding of trading behaviors, financial crime risks, and AML/KYC frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trading data and identify abnormal patterns
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluency in English required, Chinese a strong advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with surveillance tools such as Solidus or similar systems
- Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks related to virtual assets (e.g., FATF guidelines)
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar data analysis tools
- ACAMS or other AML/compliance certifications
