Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing the communication strategy that enhances the hospitality brand's reputation, builds brand equity, and strengthens relationships with media, influencers, partners, and key stakeholders.

This role oversees all aspects of public relations, media relations, and social media communications, ensuring consistent storytelling across owned, earned, and shared channels. The position works closely with the Growth & Strategy team and Brand Communications and PR team to ensure alignment of messages across internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilitie

  • Secure consistent media coverage across print, digital and broadcast platforms, award opportunities for each brand in close alignment with the Brand Communications and PR team, ensuring regular monthly placements that strengthen brand awareness and credibility.
  • Create executive talking points to support speaking engagements, podcasts, industry events and trade exhibitions across the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors and media partners within the hospitality, lifestyle and business sectors.
  • Coordinate press releases, interviews, quotes, media briefings, media familiarisation trips, and launch activations.
  • Develop, maintain and review media kits and media contact lists on a quarterly basis to ensure accuracy, relevance and readiness for media engagement.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual media communication plan for each brand within the portfolio.
  • Review and refine copy across all marketing assets, including websites, blogs and printed materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity and brand alignment.
  • Create newsletter/blog content for brands in line with the CRM strategy and campaign calendar.
  • Oversee Hospitality social media/influencer and partnership narrative in collaboration with the growth and brand marketing team, ensuring consistent tone of voice and engagement.
  • Monitor online sentiment and manage responses to PR-related issues across digital platforms.
  • Track and analyse media coverage and PR performance metrics. Provide reports and insights on brand perception, share of voice, and campaign impact.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PR or communications, ideally within the hospitality, F&B, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Fluency in English required. Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
  • Established media relationships across hospitality, lifestyle, and business publications.
  • Experience managing crisis communications and corporate reputation.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, influencer marketing, and social PR.
  • Confident spokesperson with excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with attention to detail and fast turnaround execution.
