The Marketing Director is responsible for shaping and driving the overall retail marketing vision within Everyday Goods - Retail division, leading both Brand Marketing and Integrated Marketing Communications to deliver strong brand equity, customer engagement, and measurable commercial growth. The role ensures marketing campaigns are customer-focused, commercially impactful, and seamlessly executed across media, digital, CRM, and in-store touchpoints. It also champions data-driven decision-making, digital innovation, and the development of high-performing marketing teams, positioning the organization for sustainable growth and long-term competitive advantage.
1) Strategic Leadership:
Define and own the overall retail marketing strategy, aligned with commercial objectives
Translate business goals into clear brand, campaign, communication, and activation priorities
2) Brand & Portfolio Management:
Lead Retail Brand Marketing to build strong brand equity, long-term positioning, and consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
Ensure consistent brand positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity across all channels
Drive long-term brand equity while balancing short-term commercial performance
Drive innovation in brand campaigns and shopper experiences.
3) Integrated Marketing & Communications:
Lead Integrated Marketing Communications to deliver fully integrated campaigns across ATL, digital, CRM, in-store, and loyalty channels.
Ensure seamless coordination between media, content, creative, and activation teams
Champion data-driven decision-making and marketing optimization through insights and analytics.
Ensure marketing initiatives are customer-centric, personalized, and commercially effective.
4) Campaign & Commercial Effectiveness:
Oversee annual and seasonal campaign planning calendars aligned to trading and promotional objectives.
Ensure marketing campaigns directly support sales targets, promotions, and trading priorities
Track marketing ROI, KPIs, and commercial impact, adjusting strategies to maximize results.
Ensure seamless coordination between media, content, creative, and activation teams.
5) Digital Innovation & Transformation:
Drive adoption of new digital tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance marketing effectiveness and customer experience.
Foster innovation in digital campaigns, content, and CRM initiatives to future-proof marketing capabilities.
6) Governance & Budget Management:
Own the marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation across brand, media, and activation. Establish strong marketing governance, processes, and KPIs for all marketing activities.
Manage agencies, partners, and vendors at a senior level.
7) People & Capability Leadership:
Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing marketing leaders and teams.
Ensure clear accountability, collaboration, and performance management.
Develop future-ready marketing capabilities (digital, content, data, and automation).
