Job Purpose
To lead the development and execution of retail marketing plans that drive in-store performance, enhance product visibility, and grow sales across retail, pharmacy, and consumer channels. The role focuses on personal care, beauty, wellness, FMCG, food, and lifestyle products, working closely with commercial, sales, category, and brand teams to deliver impactful activations, support product launches, improve shelf presence, and create a strong customer experience at the point of sale.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute retail marketing strategies that drive footfall, in-store conversion, customer engagement, and sales growth across retail and pharmacy locations.
- Plan and implement in-store activations, promotional campaigns, sampling activities, bundle offers, and brand initiatives to increase product visibility and improve shelf performance.
- Lead product launch activities for personal care, beauty, wellness, FMCG, food, and consumer goods categories, including display planning, promotional mechanics, planogram support, and launch visibility.
- Design and evaluate channel-specific marketing plans tailored to retail environments, pharmacy outlets, supermarkets, convenience stores, and other consumer-facing channels.
- Drive the promotion of in-house and partner brands through targeted in-store campaigns, digital retail activations, seasonal promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Work closely with the sales and category teams to align marketing activities with branch targets, product priorities, stock availability, and commercial objectives.
- Monitor sell-through data, market trends, shopper behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and refine retail marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain, Category, and Brand teams to ensure smooth execution of retail marketing initiatives, displays, promotions, and product availability.
- Support staff engagement through product training, brand education sessions, incentive programs, and in-store competition mechanics to improve product recommendation at the point of sale.
- Plan and manage retail events, brand days, product sampling campaigns, seasonal activations, and in-store promotional activities to strengthen brand presence and drive customer engagement.
- Ensure consistent brand visibility, pricing communication, shelf placement, and promotional execution across all retail locations.
- Evaluate campaign performance through sales results, customer response, sell-out reports, and ROI analysis, and recommend improvements for future activations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- A background in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, or FMCG is an advantage.
- Experience
- 7–15 years of relevant experience in retail marketing, trade marketing, FMCG, personal care, beauty, wellness, food, consumer goods, or pharmacy retail.
- Experience in managing in-store activations, product launches, promotional campaigns, and retail/channel marketing initiatives is required.
- Experience with pharmacy, supermarket, FMCG, personal care, or beauty retail channels is preferred.
