General Manager – Marketing
Job Purpose:
The Marketing Performance Manager is responsible for driving execution discipline,
performance visibility, and cross-functional alignment across the Marketing function.
The role ensures that decisions, initiatives, projects, and commitments are translated into
clear actions with defined owners, deadlines, and measurable outcomes.
The position also supports the General Manager – Marketing through KPI development,
sales and marketing performance analysis, team scorecards, project follow-up, and
commercial analysis of campaigns, offers, and bundles.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Project Management & Follow-Up
• Maintain a centralized tracker for key marketing projects, initiatives, decisions, and
deliverables.
• Document actions, owners, timelines, and expected outcomes from key meetings.
• Follow up with responsible teams to ensure agreed actions are delivered on time.
• Monitor project progress and identify delays, risks, dependencies, and blockers.
• Escalate critical issues requiring management intervention.
• Ensure projects are followed through from initial decision to final completion.
Cross-Functional Alignment
• Coordinate across Creative, Digital, CRM, Loyalty, Partnerships, PR, E-commerce,
Product, Sales, and other relevant functions.
• Ensure all involved teams understand the objective, responsibilities, timelines, and
dependencies of each initiative.
• Identify gaps or misalignment between teams and support resolution.
• Ensure marketing functions are working toward common commercial and strategic
priorities.
Performance Management & KPIs:
• Develop and maintain KPIs for marketing functions, projects, campaigns, and
initiatives.
• Build weekly and monthly marketing performance scorecards.
• Track actual performance versus targets.
• Support management in assessing departmental and team performance.
• Identify areas of underperformance and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop management dashboards that provide clear visibility of performance.
Sales & Marketing Analysis
• Analyze sales performance by channel, product, category, campaign, period, and
customer segment.
• Identify trends, growth opportunities, performance gaps, and commercial risks.
• Connect marketing activity with actual business and sales outcomes.
• Translate data into clear recommendations for management.
Offers, Bundles & Promotions
• Support the development and evaluation of offers, bundles, and promotional
mechanics.
• Analyze product combinations, pricing, discounting, margins, and sales potential.
• Measure promotional performance after launch.
• Recommend improvements based on actual commercial results.
Management Reporting
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports.
• Highlight key achievements, KPI performance, sales results, delayed actions, major
risks, required decisions, and recommended actions.
• Support preparation for senior management and commercial performance
meetings.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Percentage of marketing projects delivered on time.
• Percentage of agreed actions closed within deadline.
• Achievement of marketing KPIs.
• Accuracy and timeliness of performance reporting.
• Number of critical unresolved project delays.
• Effectiveness of cross-functional coordination.
• Commercial impact of performance recommendations.
• Performance improvement of identified underperforming initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics, or a related
field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in marketing performance, PMO, commercial
planning, business analysis, or marketing operations.
• Strong experience in project management and performance tracking.
• Strong analytical and commercial understanding.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong Power BI, dashboarding, or business intelligence capability.
• Experience analyzing sales, marketing, campaign, and customer data.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work directly with senior management and multiple departments.
