Master Data Specialist

Job description:

Job Purpose

Maintain and process employee master data across HR systems to support data accuracy, timely employee updates, reporting requirements, and compliance with company policies and data standards.

Functional Responsibilities

HR Master Data Maintenance

• Maintain and update employee master data in HR systems.

• Apply company policies and standards when processing data updates.

• Support data consistency across different HR platforms.

Data Quality & Validation

• Perform regular data checks and validation activities.

• Identify and correct data discrepancies.

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of employee data.

Employee Lifecycle Data Processing

• Process employee data changes related to hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.

• Update HR systems promptly to reflect approved employee status changes.

System Support & Data Migration

• Participate in HR system updates and implementation activities.

• Prepare and validate data required for migration activities.

Reporting & Data Support

• Generate and deliver required HR reports.

• Respond to data-related inquiries within defined service levels.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation related to data standards, processes, and procedures.

• Follow data privacy requirements and internal policies.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams on employee data matters.

• Support the alignment of data requirements across the concerned functions.

General Responsibilities

HR Proficiency:

• Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Delivery:

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

• Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

• Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

• Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
