Job Purpose:

The Material Handling Officer is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials within the supply chain operations. The role supports warehouse activities, maintains inventory accuracy, ensures compliance with handling standards, and contributes to the smooth flow of goods across the supply chain network in alignment with Salehiya Healthcare's commitment to quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational

  • Oversee and execute the end-to-end process of receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching materials in strict accordance with company SOPs.
  • Ensure the integrity of sensitive healthcare products and medical equipment by strictly adhering to cold-chain requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) while enforcing high standards of safety, quality, and hygiene across all operations.
  • Maintain maximum inventory accuracy by performing regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation, ensuring all data is accurately entered into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and seamless supply chain flow.
  • Promptly report any discrepancies, damages, or non-compliance issues to the supervisor to ensure immediate corrective action.
  • Support initiatives to optimize warehouse space utilization, handling efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Handle product returns and disposals according to protocols, and ensure the work area and equipment are well-maintained.
  • Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and perform any other related duties as assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

2-4 years of experience.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and cold-chain handling.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (with valid certification where applicable).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to details.
