He/She is responsible to maintain material flow to support production schedule with the lowest inventory as possible.
Responsibilities
- Receive Master Production Plan (MPS) from demand planning section.
- Reviewproduction schedules plans for manufacture products & achieve customersatisfaction and execute master production policies such as the establishmentof plan time fences, determination of safety stock quantities and the settingof Lot sizes and follow opening and closing of work order and how to decreasedeviation of material for work order.
- Coordinate with the Technical department toperiodically revise the Bill of materials consumption rates.
- Place purchase requisition and follow upwith purchasing department ensuring on time delivery of the requiredquantities
- Manage the materials requirements with the Purchasing and Warehouse departments.
- Follow up the deviations of materials consumption rate and take corrective actionwhere necessary.
- Follow up the monthly requisition for localmaterials and foreign materials on daily basis.
- Issue requisition and maintain inventoriesof imported materials and supplies necessary to meet the production plans.
- Monitor the flow of scrap materials andslow-moving items.
- Evaluate the Performance of MaterialsSection by calculating the turnovers ratio and availability of materials anddays of supplies.
- Monitor obsolete materials and coordinate with Technical, Production, Sales, Quality and Finance to take action for using them as alternative materials.
Minimum Qualification
University degree in a related field (Engineering). Certifications or trainings on Planning and Supply Chain preferred.
Skills & Experience
- 3 or more years of progressive management experience in industry field.
- Thorough Knowledge in data collection and analysis methods.
- Thorough understanding of cables production.
- Studies in Planning and Supply Chain are an asset
