Job Purpose:

Monitor operations within a warehouse to effectively manage receipt, storage, selection, packaging, loading, and shipping of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accountabilities:

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to act independently while providing guidance and training to others on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas.
  • Provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
  • Provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

  • Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area. Involves using existing systems and protocols.
  • Manage on a day-to-day basis the delivery of a broad range of warehouse and store tasks using existing procedures and review to recommend improvements to procedures to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately.
  • Develop an understanding of packaging needs and ideas for prototypes to support the packaging process.
  • Manage inventory for a site or factory following existing procedures and with guidance when discrepancies or issues are identified. Supervise a team performing routine work.
  • Design own monthly schedule and, if necessary, assign work to others in order to speed up office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done.
  • Carry out a range of inventory control management activities using existing procedures. Follow the organization's Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks, and to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.
  • Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any relevant field

Minimum Experience

  • 1 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
