Job Description
Summary-
The Materials Officer is responsible for overseeing the company's inventory management and ensuring the availability of materials for production or distribution purposes.
Job Responsibility-
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to monitor and maintain accurate levels of materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and reconcile any discrepancies in orders.
- Work closely with production and logistics teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance to optimize procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and other relevant data.
Candidate Requirements-
- Proven experience in inventory management or materials handling.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Good communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams effectively.
