Job Title: Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Functional Specialist
Job Overview
The Maximo EAM Functional Specialist is responsible for administering, configuring, supporting, and enhancing the Maximo Operations & Maintenance system. The role involves working closely with technology teams, end users, consultants, and third parties to troubleshoot issues, implement technical solutions, and ensure accurate configuration and documentation of system functionalities.
The specialist ensures system stability, performance, and continuous improvement while supporting operational and maintenance business processes.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide application support, testing, BIRT reporting, and minor configuration changes.
- Assess and communicate system impacts and risks throughout the system development life cycle.
- Troubleshoot Maximo applications, IBM HTTP Server, and interface-related issues.
- Provide technical support, administration, and development for Maximo systems, databases, and related applications.
- Install, configure, administer, and support Maximo 7.x in a team environment.
- Develop and manage workflow processes, including roles, actions, and action groups.
- Create and manage clustered application environments using IBM WebSphere.
- Administer Actuate iServer and BIRT; develop Actuate and BIRT reports.
- Load and migrate data using Maximo Data Loader (MDL), Generic Data Loader (GDL), and SQL/PLSQL scripting.
- Configure and manage the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including object structures, publish channels, enterprise services, endpoints, and external systems.
- Administer Maximo 7.x Cognos Integration.
- Support Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2 databases.
- Develop and maintain technical and process documentation.
- Coordinate issue resolution with vendors when required.
- Perform other related duties aligned with the role's knowledge, skills, and expertise.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- IBM Maximo 7.x certification preferred.
Experience
- 78 years of total professional experience, including at least 3 years in operations and maintenance environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing, configuring, and implementing Maximo systems.
- Strong experience in Maximo 7.x installation, configuration, and administration.
- Experience developing Maximo workflows (roles, actions, action groups).
- Experience with clustered application environments and IBM WebSphere.
- Experience with Actuate iServer, Actuate Reports, and BIRT administration.
- Experience with Maximo Data Loader (MDL), Generic Data Loader (GDL), and data migration using SQL/PLSQL scripting.
- Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
- Experience administering Maximo 7.x Cognos Integration.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2.
- Ability to work under direction of project managers and team leads and complete assignments in a timely manner.
