Job Description
Tender Preparation & Submission
- Analyse tender documents and client requirements for shipping/marine and multimodal transport projects.
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals including transport plans, stowage layouts, sea-fastening arrangements and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure feasibility and compliance with project specifications.
Develop pricing models and cost breakdowns in line with company guidelines and market benchmarks.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with shipowners, brokers, and charterers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms.
- Review and incorporate BIMCO charter party clauses and other contractual terms.
Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to finalize tender documentation and contracts.
Technical & Commercial Analysis
- Conduct feasibility studies, route assessments, and port capability evaluations.
- Review technical drawings and documentation from logistics providers and carriers.
Ensure proposals meet international standards and client expectations.
Process Management
- Manage RFQ cycles, ensuring timely submission and compliance with internal procedures.
- Maintain tender tracking systems and documentation archives.
Support post-tender negotiations and handover to project execution teams
Documentation & Compliance
- Review and validate technical documentation from carriers and logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with port regulations, country-specific requirements, and HSQE standards.
Prepare method statements and project documentation for internal and client use.
Minimum Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in tendering or project engineering within the shipping or marine transport industry.
- Experience in preparing proposals for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Lift projects is preferred.
Job-Specific Skills
- Strong understanding of project logistics, chartering, and shipping operations.
- Strong knowledge of BIMCO clauses, chartering practices, and international marine standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and marine engineering software (GHS, Autohydro, AVEVA Marine).
- Excellent analytical, communication, decision-making, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multimodal transport chains and complex project environments
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Excellent English language skills, with additional languages preferable
- Self-motivated, driven and with attention to detail
