Job Description

Job Summary - This role is responsible for end‑to‑end solution architecture, technical leadership, and delivery governance for on‑premise Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality (DQ), and Data Governance enablement. The MDM Architect / Senior MDM Consultant will define target architecture and integration patterns, lead design and implementation across Siebel UCM, OEDQ and ODI, and drive governance and quality outcomes through Informatica Axon/EDC/IDQ. The role also includes strong project management capabilities: planning and tracking delivery, managing stakeholders, controlling scope, and ensuring successful releases and production stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • MDM architecture & roadmap: Define the on‑prem MDM/DQ architecture (logical, physical and integration views), environment strategy (DEV/TEST/PROD), non‑functional requirements (performance, availability, security), and an execution roadmap aligned to business outcomes.
  • Siebel UCM solution leadership: Lead functional/technical design across UCM domain model, services, batch/real‑time integrations, and stewardship operations; govern match/merge/unmerge flows and x‑reference strategy.
  • Matching, survivorship & golden record: Define and approve match strategy, survivorship rules, and best version record (surviving record) construction; ensure rules are testable, explainable to business, and aligned to stewardship workflows.
  • Data quality design (OEDQ): Architect profiling, auditing, standardization/cleansing, and matching components; define DQ KPIs, thresholds, monitoring dashboards, and issue workflows/case management as required.
  • Integration architecture (ODI): Define ingestion and publishing patterns (batch schedules, dependencies, reconciliation), transformation standards, and operational monitoring approach; guide teams on scalable ELT design using ODI repositories/agents and deployment practices.
  • Metadata, governance & catalog (Axon/EDC): Establish operating model for glossary stewardship, dataset onboarding, domain discovery/curation, and lineage validation; ensure glossary–catalog alignment and adoption by business stakeholders.
  • DQ implementation (IDQ): Define standards and review design for IDQ rules and deployments; ensure test coverage, promotion across environments, and traceability to business rules and DQ KPIs.
  • Delivery leadership / PM skills: Own workplans, estimates, resourcing and RAID; manage scope and change control; run stakeholder governance (status, risks, decisions); coordinate release readiness and cutover activities; ensure on‑time delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Quality assurance & reviews: Lead design reviews, code/config reviews, test strategy, and production readiness; drive performance tuning and stabilization (including root cause analysis for recurring data issues).
  • Client-facing consulting: Translate business needs into implementable designs, present architecture options with trade-offs, mentor developers/analysts, and establish reusable assets and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in MDM / Data Quality / Data Governance programs, with at least 3+ years in an architecture/lead consultant role
  • Strong hands-on or design-level experience with Siebel UCM (Oracle Customer Hub) including mastering, match/merge, survivorship, stewardship and integration patterns
  • Strong knowledge of data quality concepts: profiling, standardization, parsing, matching/deduplication, monitoring KPIs and issue remediation workflows
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (OEDQ) and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) in enterprise/on‑prem environments; understanding of ODI repository/agent architecture and operational monitoring
  • Experience defining data models and canonical representations for customer/master data; strong understanding of lineage, metadata and stewardship requirements
  • Delivery/PM capabilities: planning, estimation, stakeholder management, risk/issue management, scope/change control, and release governance
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills; ability to lead data investigations and validate outcomes (match rates, survivorship results, DQ improvements)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (architecture diagrams, HLD/LLD, decision logs, runbooks)

Tools / Technology (Preferred)

  • Siebel UCM / Oracle Customer Hub (UCM) – mastering, x‑ref, stewardship, survivorship configuration concepts
  • Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (OEDQ) – profiling, auditing, cleansing, matching, monitoring
  • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) – mappings/packages/scenarios, agents, repositories, deployment and monitoring
  • Informatica Axon (business glossary), EDC (catalog/lineage), IDQ (rule implementation)
  • Oracle DB / SQL; Unix/Linux basics; scheduling/automation tooling (as applicable)

Nice to Have

  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture framework exposure
  • ITIL foundation and experience operating production support processes (incident/problem/change)
  • Experience integrating UCM/OEDQ with CRM/ERP/data platforms and designing publish/subscribe patterns
  • Experience driving data governance operating model adoption (stewardship councils, DQ scorecards, policy enforcement)
  • Experience with watchlist screening / address validation / identity resolution extensions (where applicable)

Education / Certifications
