Position - Mechanical Airframe Systems Design Engineer – Landing Gear, Fuel System, ECS, Hydraulics & Actuation

Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and take ownership for the design, integration, and validation of mechanical airframe systems, including landing gear assemblies, fuel distribution systems, ECS, hydraulic circuits, and actuation mechanisms for UAV platforms.
- Develop 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using industry-standard tools (e.g., CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, or SolidWorks).
- Perform structural, hydromechanical and thermal analyses to ensure system integrity and correct sizing under operational loads and environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—avionics, propulsion, flight controls—to ensure seamless system integration.
- Define system requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and bill of materials (BOMs) in compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., MIL-STD, RTCA DO-160).
- Support prototype builds, ground tests, and flight trials, troubleshooting and resolving design issues in real time.
- Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations and defense sector quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, manufacturability, and maintainability.
Educational background :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 5 years experience in aerospace mechanical systems design, with proven expertise in at least three of the following: landing gear, fuel systems, ECS, hydraulics, actuation.
Professional Experience:
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and PLM systems (CATIA, NX, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system design, fuel system architecture, and ECS thermodynamics.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.
- Standards & Compliance: Experience with aerospace and defense standards (e.g., AS9100, MIL-STD, DO-160).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and clear technical communication.
Technical Skills:
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
- EASA Part 21 or GCAA Design Organisation Approval (DOA) exposure.
- Certification in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ASEP/CSEP) or Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2).
