Position Summary
The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer supports the Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer in overseeing the EPC Contractor's mechanical commissioning activities during the construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, testing, and handover phases of the Combined Cycle Power Plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer in monitoring EPC Contractor commissioning activities.
- Participate in Mechanical Completion, Ready for Commissioning (RFC), System Turnover (ECC/TOP), and handover activities.
- Witness mechanical inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor commissioning progress and report observations.
- Participate in system walkdowns and punch list verification.
- Review commissioning documentation and report technical comments.
- Support startup, reliability run, and performance testing activities.
- Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Quality, HSE, Planning, and Systems Completion teams.
- Maintain accurate commissioning records and reports.
- Promote safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements.
- Participate in technical training and competency development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience
- 3–5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience in commissioning, construction, quality, maintenance, testing, inspection, or engineering is acceptable.
- Experience in industrial construction projects such as power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, desalination, mining, or other heavy industrial facilities is preferred.
- Previous experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Saudi National.
