ELBATTAT is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical documentation and supporting mechanical design processes with precision and innovation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development within a leading steel manufacturing company in Egypt.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical documents including drawings, BOMs, instruction sheets, and data sheets.
- Issue product codes for newly approved items.
- Design new mechanical products with detailed drawings and specifications that meet performance and production standards.
- Develop calculation sheets to validate dimensions, loads, and material selection.
- Provide hands-on technical support during project execution and resolve design-related issues.
- Investigate and address client technical complaints.
- Support product cost reduction through smart design improvements.
- Review tender documents and prepare technical submissions.
- Ensure all outputs meet required specifications and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of proven experience in a technical office or mechanical design role.
- A Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), MSc in Engineering, or MBA is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required; familiarity with Fusion 360 and other design software is an advantage.
- Strong command of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Very good command of both English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in working with AI tools is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems independently through research, initiative, and critical thinking.
