The ideal candidate will have strong CAD expertise, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to deliver high-quality, functional designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Reverse Engineering:

  • Execute reverse engineering, design release, and certification requirements of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Review designs for accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Draft engineering drawings according to ASME Y14.5 and company standards.

CAD Modeling & Data Analysis:

  • Capture input data (3D scanned STL, dimensions, material properties, hardness, application) to generate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Provide technical solutions for diverse design tasks.
  • Work independently to interpret and translate raw data into final product designs.

Technical Drafting & Software Application:

  • Finalize CAD files and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and Geomagics DesignX.
  • Define tolerances based on fitment requirements to guide manufacturing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and manufacturing drawings.

Collaboration & Compliance:

  • Work closely with other engineers and team members to ensure alignment of deliverables.
  • Adhere strictly to HSEQ, Data Security, and ISO framework standards.
  • Ensure design data is free of defects and missing information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in reverse engineering and CAD design of functional components.
  • Skilled in 3D dimensional measurements and drafting 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and Geomagics DesignX.
  • Familiarity with laser 3D scanners and scanned file processing.
  • Knowledge of materials, mechanical properties, and tolerances.
  • Experience with rotating and static equipment (pumps, valves, compressors).
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes (3D Printing, Machining, Testing, Fabrication, Heat Treatment).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Preference will be given to the candidates based in Egypt.
