Review mechanical drawings, manufacturing drawings, isometric drawings, equipment datasheets, and technical specifications received from the consultant, equipment suppliers, and third-party engineering companies.
Translate external engineering drawings into practical fabrication steps and assembly instructions suitable for the local workshop capabilities.
Technically follow up the fabrication and workshop assembly of furnace shells, steel structures, conveyor frames, tanks, platforms, piping parts, and similar mechanical equipment.
Check bills of materials and verify that components comply with technical requirements.
Ensure cutting, bending, welding, machining, pre-assembly, and final assembly are carried out per drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements.
Document fabrication non-conformities, revision requirements, and technical questions, and coordinate resolution with the engineering team or suppliers.
Perform as-built checks for equipment to be delivered to the site and ensure readiness for installation.
Provide technical support to the maintenance team after commissioning for mechanical maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and equipment performance monitoring.
Technical Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical engineering discipline. 3–5 years of experience in mechanical fabrication, workshop production, steel structures, piping, equipment assembly, or heavy industrial equipment.
Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical equipment used in metallurgy, chemical plants, mining, energy, recycling, or heavy industry facilities. Technical knowledge of tolerances, welded fabrication, dimensional control, and fasteners.
Software Skills: Intermediate ability to use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D viewing software. Good command of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
