Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Mechanical Designer to support the development of mechanical systems, components, and equipment. The role involves translating design concepts and engineering requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions while ensuring functionality, reliability, safety, and design quality.

Key responsibilities include creating and modifying 2D drawings and 3D models, developing detailed mechanical designs, preparing engineering documentation, and reviewing designs for accuracy and manufacturability. The Mechanical Designer will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve design issues, improve product performance, and support design changes throughout the development process.

The role also involves interpreting technical specifications, applying appropriate engineering standards, conducting design reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of products, processes, and design methods.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering standards, and design requirements.
• Good knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-organized technical documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and design methodologies.
