Job Description

Brief:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, and ELV works on assigned projects. The role ensures that all installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The Site Engineer serves as the technical lead on site, coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, procurement, planning, and QA/QC teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily and weekly MEP activities in accordance with the approved construction schedule.

• Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and technical specifications before execution.

• Ensure all MEP works are executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, specifications, and contract requirements

• Ensure all MEP works comply with company HSE policies and project safety requirements.

• Coordinate work sequences with civil, architectural, and other specialist trades.

• Monitor manpower productivity and project progress and identify potential delays, proposing corrective actions where necessary.

• Prepare and review RFI related to technical issues.

• Provide technical guidance to MEP Supervisors, Foremen, and installation teams.

• Coordinate Work Inspection Requests and inspections with consultants.

• Review and forecast material requirements based on the construction program.

• Coordinate with the Procurement Department for timely material deliveries

• Ensure project milestones are achieved within the approved schedule.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

• Update progress against the approved project schedule.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 4–8 years of experience in MEP construction projects.

• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.

• Experience in luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, or high-rise projects is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical, and ELV systems.

• Ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with project planning software (Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project) is an advantage.

• Understanding of testing and commissioning procedures.

• Knowledge of UAE authority regulations (DEWA, DCD, Dubai Municipality, etc.) is preferred.
