Mechanical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

A. DIFC Portal

Review the drawings submitted by contractors for different projects and provide the feedback with necessary comments based on DEWA, DCD and DIFC guidelines with the allotted time frame on the portal or through e-mail.

Preparing landlord NOCs required for DEWA drawing submission.

B. Tenant , Events DIFC Projects related requestes received by portal or email :

Ensure timely completion of FitOut projects by meeting project deadlines.

Arranging meetings with the contractors to explain the drawing review comments if required.

Closely monitoring the authority design approval process and inspection approval for the project.

Doing feasibility study for MEP provisions upgradation as per the tenant requirement based on the existing site conditions and available figures. (If required for a project)

Coordinating with FM team for CHW isolation and air balancing activities .

Notifying and obtaining confirmation from all the affected tenants during a CHW isolation .

Giving proper instructions to the site inspectors to coordinate with the contractors.

Providing proper instructions and corrective measures during regular site visits.

Attending CHW & FF presure test and air balancing make sure the system is going smooth.

Attending first fix inspection and providing feedback with corrective measures to facilitate the false ceiling closure.

Attending final inspection and ensuring proper functionality of each service before issuing final approval.

Coordinate with the base build contractors including FLSservices to facilitate their communication with the contractors.

Achieve high client satisfaction by delivering exceptional FitOut solutions that meet or exceed client expectations in terms of functionality, reliability, and aesthetics.

Conducting proper follow ups, monitoring and inspections for each project and maintained the quality of work.

Verifying the authority approved drawings

16

Witnessing the Testing and Commissioning including Life Safety System and verifying the same.

Reviewing the method statement submitted by contractor for the TVR/ modification works.

Coordinating with each other for inspection timings and closing on the portal with first and final inspection checklist.

Notify the concerned engineers in case any non-standard works or any issues related to their trades have been observed and notify the QHSE team if any unsafe works are noticed.

20

Follow up with the BMS team for the utility meter commissioning work.

C. Drawing and Document Preparation

Prepare the required drawings and documents for DIFC Projects and other spaces in coordination with relevant teams.

Prepare Base Built drawings for release to leaving tenants as well as incoming tenants in coordination with relevant teams.

Prepare & verifing the MEP technical frms for leased units

4

Prepare mechanical , FF scope of works for DIFC projects & respond for received RFI's from bidders .

D. Site Walk and Inspection

Arrange site visits with contractors to go over submission details and other doubts related to drawings, to ensure the deliverables match the approved drawings.

Verify if the proposed materials by contractors are in line with DIFC standards and provide approval wherever necessary.

3

Participate in meetings related to Mechanical fitout issues .
