We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in HVAC and VRF systems, proficient in Revit MEP, and capable of preparing and reviewing Shop Drawings, Technical Submittals, and Subcontractors Payment Certificates. The candidate will be responsible for technical coordination, documentation, and site follow-up to ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
Design, review, and coordinate HVAC and VRF systems in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
Review heat load calculations and system selections.
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for VRF equipment selection and technical compliance.
Provide technical support during site execution and resolve installation issues.
Prepare, develop, and review Mechanical Shop Drawings using Revit MEP.
Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines.
Extract quantities and assist in BOQs preparation.
Prepare and update As-Built Drawings.
Prepare and review:
Material Submittals
Technical Data Sheets
Method Statements
Ensure submitted materials comply with approved specifications and standards.
Respond to consultant/client comments and follow up until final approval.
Subcontractors & Payment Certificates
Review and certify subcontractors payment applications.
Verify executed quantities against approved drawings and site progress.
Coordinate with Contracts and Commercial teams regarding variations and claims.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in HVAC and VRF systems with Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, and solid experience in VRF systems.
2:5 years of relevant experience in HVAC & VRF systems.
Strong proficiency in Revit MEP.
Proven experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
Good knowledge of HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, local codes).
Good understanding of Shop Drawings, As-Built Drawings, and BOQs.
Experience in submittals, shop drawings, and subcontractor payments.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in high-rise or large-scale projects.
Previous experience in contracting and technical office works, with good understanding of technical documentation and administrative procedures.
Familiarity with site supervision and commissioning activities.
Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
