Job Description: Euro Group for Engineering Consultancy is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on the maintenance of pumps and various mechanical systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supervising contractor activities for a prestigious municipal asset project under the Ministry of Municipality of Riyadh. This position requires expert oversight and strategic guidance to ensure effective operation, robust maintenance, and continuous enhancement of crucial municipal pumps and mechanical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and meticulously monitor contractor activitiesspecifically related to the preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as enhancement, of pumps and diverse mechanical systems. Ensure all work strictly adheres to project specifications, industry best practices, and safety standards.
- Lead initiatives in the analysis, design, and study of existing and new mechanical systems, with the primary goal of improving the efficiency, performance, reliability, and maintainability of critical pump stations and mechanical assets.
- Act as the primary technical liaison, providing expert guidance and regular updates on contractor performance and the maintenance status of pumps and mechanical systems to the municipal supervising engineer. Prepare comprehensive daily and periodic reports.
- Rigorously evaluate contractor proposals, work plans, and methodologiesspecifically for pump and mechanical system maintenance, ensuring technical accuracy, operational feasibility, and alignment with overall project goals for asset longevity.
- Conduct frequent and thorough inspections and audits of contractor maintenance workon pumps and mechanical systems to verify quality, compliance, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the project management team and contractors to proactively address maintenance issues, propose innovative improvements, and integrate cutting-edge solutions for sustained mechanical system integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience inmechanical maintenance, with significant expertise in the maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps and related mechanical systems. Additional experience in designing and conducting studies for system optimization is highly valued.
- Accredited by the Saudi Council of Engineers.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with a demonstrated history of successful design and study projects pertaining to mechanical reliability and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, crucial for supervising contractor activities and fostering project collaboration.
