Mechanical Engineer – Qatar

CLIENT

Linum Consult's client is a major organisation in the Middle East. They are urgently seeking a Mechanical Engineer from an industrial construction background who is currently based in Doha and immediately available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting the design review, construction monitoring, and commissioning support for mechanical and process equipment on power plants and desalination plants
• Attending site meetings, reviewing the EPC contractor's weekly and monthly reports, and other related project documentation
• Reviewing method statements, procedures, test plans, etc. for factory/workshop manufacturing and site construction and commissioning activities
• Participating in the inspection and witnessing of site construction activities
• Participating in system walkdowns, raising punch-list items, defects, NCRs, and similar
• Supporting the review and coordination of O&M manuals, spares, and related planning activities

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 7-10 years of experience in similar roles on desalination or power generation projects
• Excellent technical knowledge of conceptual design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance
• Strong familiarity with mechanical safety codes and regulations in the GCC region
• Good IT skills, particularly in MS Office
• Excellent communication skills in English
• First preference will be given to candidates currently in Qatar
• Immediate availability
