Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Mechanical Engineer(Design) to join our team! In this role you will get to
work within a new PMO working on major highways / infrastructure projects in the KSA Capital, Riyadh City.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performs complex design engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work (Concept & Detailed Design) efficiently and accurately. Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.
- Have the ability to complete all mechanical design works include but not limited to tunnel ventilation system, HVAC, Plumbing Drawings, Pipe sizing, Pump Head Calculations for Chilled water Primary, Secondary & Distribution system, Condenser Water System, Side Stream Filtration system and Booster Pumps.
- Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
- Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
- May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 15+ years of design work related experience.
- Experience in reviewing third party designs and coordinating comments for approval
- Experience of working within a multi-discipline team environment
- Proactive approach to own activities and helping in other disciplines, as far as practically possible, to assist in PMO overall efficiency
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Previous experience of working in a PMO
- Charted (or similar) status with an industry recognized engineering body
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience managing large tasks and/or projects
