Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for mechanical equipment in a process plant or manufacturing environment.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, repair, servicing, and root cause analysis for production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Lead emergency and unscheduled repair works, and coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely recovery of equipment.
- Monitor the effectiveness of preventive maintenance programmes and recommend reliability improvement actions.
- Support maintenance improvement projects, equipment modifications, and reliability initiatives to improve equipment performance and plant efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate plant shutdown maintenance activities, including vendor coordination, manpower planning, tools, spare parts, and work execution.
- Track annual preventive maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance activities are completed on time.
- Analyze equipment maintenance data, breakdown trends, and recurring issues to improve maintenance processes.
- Ensure all maintenance works comply with ISO, GMP, FSSC, HACCP, QHSE, and site change management requirements.
- Lead, guide, and support the mechanical maintenance team in daily maintenance activities and technical troubleshooting.
- Maintain proper maintenance records and support updates in CMMS/SAP where required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Job Requirement:
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience in a process plant or manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, servicing, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of production equipment.
- Good practical knowledge of equipment operation, diagnostics, fault rectification, and root cause analysis.
- Experience maintaining a wide range of mechanical equipment, not limited to only pumps, rotating equipment, contractor management, spare parts, or planning.
- Able to support emergency maintenance and unscheduled breakdown repair when required.
- Experience in plant shutdown maintenance planning and execution will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of CMMS/SAP maintenance systems will be an added advantage.
- Supervisory or team-leading experience will be preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Hands-on, technically strong, responsible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced plant environment.
