We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible to lead the mechanical design and coordination of MEP systems for building projects, ensuring full compliance with UAE authority regulations, and providing technical support throughout project lifecycles from design to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Design & Coordination
- Lead the review and coordination of mechanical designs including:
- HVAC systems
- Ventilation
- Plumbing and drainage
- Fire protection systems
2- Authority Approvals
- Prepare and support authority submission documents.
- Coordinate with authorities including DDA (Dubai Development Authority) and DM (Dubai Municipality) where applicable.
- Respond to technical queries and ensure design compliance with local codes.
3- Technical Support
- Review shop drawings and material submittals for technical accuracy.
- Address and resolve RFIs (Requests for Information) and site coordination issues.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to maintain project progress.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in MEP design and coordination.
- UAE experience is highly preferred.
- Familiar with UAE authority standards and building codes.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP is an advantage.
Certifications (Mandatory)
- DM DEQ Certified (Mechanical) must be active.
- Registered member of the Society of Engineers (SoE) must be active.
