Position: Mechanical Engineer (Water Treatment Systems)

Location : Abu Dabhi, UAE.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems related to water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and develop mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Prepare mechanical layouts, P&IDs, equipment selection, and technical specifications.
• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on pumps, piping systems, valves, blowers, pressure vessels, and other mechanical equipment.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and project teams to meet technical requirements and project schedules.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and project documentation.
• Support site activities and provide technical guidance during installation and commissioning.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, piping systems, valves, tanks, pressure vessels, and rotating equipment.
• Experience in equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other mechanical design software.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in RO plants, STP, WWTP, or industrial water treatment projects is highly preferred.
