ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and equipment to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations.

ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Equipment Reliability & Maintenance:

  • Ensure mechanical availability and reliability of production lines and utilities equipment.
  • Lead and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Analyze mechanical breakdowns and lead root cause analysis (RCA) with corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM standards and maintenance best practices.

2. Engineering & Technical Support

  • Provide technical support for production equipment including blowing, filling, packaging, and utilities systems.
  • Review and approve mechanical modifications, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Support commissioning and handover of new equipment and projects.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and external contractors.

3. Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all mechanical activities comply with safety standards, LOTO, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Drive safe behaviors and ensure machine guarding and safety devices are effective.
  • Support food safety, quality, and environmental compliance requirements.

4. Continuous Improvement & Performance

  • Drive CI, TPM, and ManEx initiatives related to mechanical systems.
  • Support SLE improvement, downtime reduction, and cost optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce spare parts consumption and maintenance costs.

5. Projects & Cost Control

  • Support CAPEX and OPEX planning and execution.
  • Participate in mechanical project implementation, timelines, and cost control.
  • Track mechanical KPIs and report performance.

6. People & Collaboration

  • Coach and guide mechanical technicians and supervisors.
  • Support training, competency development, and standardization.
  • Work closely with production, utilities, electrical, and automation teams.

ARE THESE YOUR SECERET INGRIDIENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering within FMCG / manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of blowing, filling, packaging, and utilities equipment.
  • Experience with OEMs such as KRONES, SIDEL, SIPA is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
