Mechanical, MEP & Fire Fighting Inspector - PV/BESS Utility Scale Project

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Join a landmark, large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant integrated with a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This high-profile, strategic project will play a pivotal role in the UAE's clean energy transition.

THE ROLE

This multifaceted inspection role is crucial for the operational integrity and safety of the entire plant. You will be responsible for the quality inspection of all mechanical systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations, and, critically, the advanced firefighting and suppression systems required for the BESS and other key areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect the installation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.

Ensure all mechanical and MEP installations are performed according to approved drawings and specifications.

Witness testing and commissioning of mechanical and fire safety systems.

Prepare detailed inspection reports and document all findings.

Verify the quality of materials and equipment used for all mechanical, MEP, and fire fighting systems.

Ensure compliance with international codes, especially NFPA standards for fire fighting systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience inspecting mechanical/MEP works on major construction projects.

Specialized Expertise:

Experience in solar power or similar industrial projects is essential.

Technical Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of international fire safety codes (e.g., NFPA) is required.
