Job Description

Division: CKD Project

We are hiring 3 mechanical engineers each to cover as essential part in the CKD project:

  1. Body & Trim Quality Technical Engineer
  2. Chassis & Electrical Quality Technical Engineer
  3. Parts Quality Technical Engineer

Roles Purpose

To ensure overall vehicle quality and production stability across body & trim, chassis, electrical, and CKD/localized parts. This includes analyzing defects, validating design/process changes, investigating market and factory quality concerns, coordinating cross-functional corrective actions, monitoring production processes, and ensuring consistent supplier and part quality to maintain high vehicle reliability and customer satisfaction.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

1. Market & Factory Quality Issue Management

Analyze sudden and recurring market issues to identify root causes.

Lead discussions, implement corrective actions, and supervise execution.

Respond to abnormalities in localized and KD parts during production.

Report Class A or safety-related concerns.

2. Defect Analysis, Technical Judgement & Reporting

Perform complex analysis of factory and market defects.

Prepare defect analysis reports and countermeasure documentation.

Determine technical accountability using data patterns.

3. Mass Production Quality Evaluation

Develop sampling plans for mass-produced vehicles.

Execute sampling, document findings, and track open issues.

Monitor full production flow including welding, painting, assembly, and VQ.

4. Supplier Quality & Parts Inspection

Conduct supplier inspections and deliver new-model training.

Review arrival inspection forms and monthly supplier performance.

Investigate logistics-related, stamping, and powertrain issues.

5. Design / Process Change Management

Validate first samples of design/process changes.

Coordinate with engineering and suppliers on quality alignment.

6. Quality Information, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Collect and report quality information to GAC.

Implement continuous improvement tools (FMEA, 8D, Kaizen).

Role Dimensions

Direct influence: warranty reduction, rework cost.

Indirect influence: customer satisfaction, factory stability.

Qualifications

35 years automotive quality/production engineering experience.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Electrical/Industrial Engineering.

Skills: RCA, FMEA, sampling, lean methods, MS Office, inspection tools.
