About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Site Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. The role will be responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical works on residential buildings and villas, ensuring that installations are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, and applicable UAE codes and regulations.

The successful candidate will have strong site supervision and consultancy experience, with solid technical knowledge across building mechanical systems and the ability to effectively coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical works on residential buildings and villas throughout construction.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Review and provide technical input on mechanical design and installation works.
• Supervise and coordinate works related to:
• HVAC systems
• Chilled water systems
• Plumbing and drainage systems
• Domestic water systems
• Pumps and water tanks
• Fire protection systems
• LPG systems
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, material submissions, and related mechanical documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Identify technical issues and ensure timely resolution in coordination with relevant project stakeholders.
• Monitor the quality and progress of mechanical works and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support the Resident Engineer in technical reviews, inspections, and site coordination.
• Ensure works are carried out in compliance with applicable UAE codes, regulations, and authority requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, technical reviews, and site observations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and consultancy supervision.
• Strong experience in residential buildings and villas.
• Strong knowledge of UAE applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proven experience supervising and coordinating HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, domestic water, fire protection, LPG, pumps, water tanks, and BMS systems.
• Good experience using Revit, BIM, ACC, or equivalent applications — this is a must.
• Strong technical review, site inspection, and coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within a consultancy/site supervision environment in the UAE, particularly on residential developments and villas, will be highly valued.
