Job Summary
The Mechanical Static Equipment Inspector is responsible for performing inspection and quality surveillance activities related to static equipment to ensure compliance with approved drawings, applicable international codes, project specifications, and quality management system requirements. The role supports safe, reliable, and compliant execution of mechanical works on industrial and oil & gas projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform inspection and surveillance of static equipment in accordance with approved ITPs
- Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, and project specifications
- Inspect fabrication, installation, testing, and maintenance of static equipment
- Review and verify inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation
- Witness testing activities and ensure proper documentation and sign-off
- Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and monitor corrective actions
- Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC teams, and client representatives
- Ensure effective implementation of quality system requirements at site
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline with minimum 4 years of inspection experience, OR
- Two (2) years Industrial / Technical Diploma with minimum 8 years of relevant inspection experience
- Proven experience in static equipment inspection
- Strong knowledge of international standards including:
- ASME Section I, V, VIII, IX
- API 510, API 650
- Valid international certification in API 510 or API 653 or equivalent
- Quality Management System awareness
- Good working knowledge of quality system standards and methods
- If applicable, valid ARAMCO CBT with SAP number and CBT details
