JOB PURPOSE - To carry out maintenance, modification, overhauling and installation activities on the mechanical machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and industry best practices, HSE guidelines and quality standards to attain cost-effectiveness, functionality and reliability.
Key Accountabilities -
1-Inventory
- Check the necessary stock levels of consumables to enable the Outage manager's effective inventory control and timely re-ordering.
2- Documentation
- Update the maintenance logbook and record details of work carried out including daily progress report, filling out measurement protocols, defaults, problems, various findings and conditions of all machines to ensure timely availability of information and organised referencing.
- Sign the daily site-, meeting- and Toolbox talk attendance sheets
3-Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the organisation's standards.
4-Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures
- Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner.
5-Health, Safety, Security & Environment
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
6-Related Assignments
- Perform any other duties which the outage manager may require to be carried out.
COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
1- Internal:
Needs to work closely with Mechanical Supervisor, Engineers and Supervisors in the Outage teams
2- External:
May need to work closely with subcontracted labour, helpers, or OEM representatives
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree or associate degree in Technical Field, Gas Turbine Systems Technician preferred
Minimum Experience:
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including various pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbines.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
