Job Description

Job Purpose

To perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across Al Khozama Investment properties, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation in accordance with company standards, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, valves, compressors, plumbing-related mechanical equipment, and other building services systems.
  • Monitor the condition and performance of mechanical equipment and identify potential faults before breakdowns occur.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns and restore equipment to normal operating condition.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to approved maintenance plans.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical rooms, equipment, and associated installations.
  • Assist in the maintenance and operation of HVAC and other building mechanical systems as required.
  • Perform basic mechanical installation, dismantling, alignment, lubrication, and adjustment works.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Record completed maintenance activities, equipment conditions, spare parts used, and outstanding issues.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines when maintenance activities require joint support.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
  • Report major defects, equipment failures, safety hazards, and required spare parts to the supervisor.
  • Support contractors and specialist service providers during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Provide support during emergencies and breakdown situations when required.
  • Perform any other duties related to the role as assigned by management.

  • Response and resolution time for maintenance requests.

  • Accuracy and timeliness of maintenance records.
  • Effective utilization of spare parts, tools, and maintenance resources.

Technical Competencies

  • Mechanical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Basic HVAC and building services knowledge.
  • Mechanical installation, alignment, and adjustment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, commercial buildings, facilities management, or property management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
