Job Purpose:
To efficiently carry out the mechanical, pneumatics, basic electrical maintenance activities, and new projects across all operations in Plant. Work with the production team to perform changeovers and reduce performance losses. Perform lines preventive maintenance and train operators on autonomous and small repair & maintenance. Maintenance of Utilities like Compressor, Boiler, and Chiller.
Responsibilities
- Capable of managing the corrective and preventive maintenance activities of Filling and Packaging machines.
- Ensure the plant machines are maintained in good condition by performing the required maintenance in a timely manner.
- Strong knowledge and hands on experience of the pneumatic systems, circuits, and their troubleshooting.
- A sound experience of handling mechanical systems- pumps, mixers, conveyors, motors, gearbox, bearing assemblies etc.
- Operation and Maintenance of Utilities like - Compressors, Boiler, & Chiller etc.
- Preventive maintenance of lines & utility equipment.
- Coordinate with the production team to perform the changeovers, SMED experience will be an advantage.
- Capable to lead & execute the continuous improvement activities like process improvement, modification of machines, and new fabrications.
- Participate in the daily & weekly kaizen meetings to analyze the downtime root causes and take actions to eliminate them.
- Assemble and fabricate engineering components and appliances.
- Perform improvement projects using A3 problem solving/Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Test and repair engineering systems such as Gearboxes, Conveyors, Utility equipment-compressors, Boilers. Packaging equipment and mechanical valves.
- Fabrication and welding of ducts and pipelines.
- Identify and request the spare parts required for machine maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- 4-6 years experience in maintenance engineering in a manufacturing environment is a MUST.
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work on day or night shifts.
