Job Description

Company: SkillFusion Robotics for Consulting & Technology L.L.C.

Location: Doha, Qatar (Hybrid + school visits)

Type: Part-time / Per-session — 3 hrs/day

About SkillFusion

SkillFusion delivers hands-on robotics, AI, coding, drone, and 3D-printing ECA programs to international schools across Qatar. We're expanding our curriculum with a dedicated Mechanical & Design track and are hiring a mentor to help build it and take it into classrooms.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Mechatronics Mentor to co-develop a new Mechanical & Design course covering mechanical systems, CAD/design fundamentals, and applied mechatronics and then deliver it as an instructor at partner schools.

Schedule

  • 3 hours/day
  • Fridays and Saturdays off

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the Mechanical & Design curriculum (lesson plans, workbooks, slide decks, hands-on projects/kits)
  • Define learning progression across age groups/grades (basic mechanisms → CAD design → applied mechatronics builds)
  • Select and prototype mechanical/design projects suited to classroom delivery (gears, linkages, structures, simple machines, 3D-printed parts, etc.)
  • Teach the course at partner schools on a scheduled ECA basis
  • Collaborate with the existing robotics/coding curriculum team for continuity across SkillFusion's Pre-K–Grade 12 engineering pathway
  • Maintain and iterate course materials based on classroom feedback
  • Manage basic kit/inventory needs for mechanical builds

Requirements

  • Background in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering with practical exposure across all three mechatronics pillars:
  • Mechanical design — CAD tools (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar), basic mechanism design, and prototyping (3D printing a plus)
  • Electronics — sensors, actuators, motor drivers, and basic circuit wiring
  • Coding/embedded systems — Arduino/ESP32 programming to bring mechanical builds to life
  • Prior teaching, mentoring, or workshop-facilitation experience — especially with school-age students — strongly preferred
  • Comfortable designing curriculum from scratch, not just delivering existing material
  • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic/Hindi a plus
  • Based in Doha, Qatar; able to travel to partner schools

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating mechanical, electronic, and software systems in a single build (e.g., robotic arms, automated mechanisms)
  • Familiarity with STEM/ECA program delivery in an international school setting
  • Portfolio of past design/build projects

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape a new course track from the ground up at a growing robotics education company
  • Flexible schedule aligned with school terms
  • Collaborative, hands-on team environment
