Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team on a part-time, on-site basis in Cairo. The Medical Biller will be responsible for preparing and submitting medical claims, following up with insurance companies, managing billing records, resolving claim issues, and ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and other payers,
• Review patient accounts, medical records, invoices, and supporting documentation before claim submission,
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility when required,
• Follow up on submitted claims and outstanding payments,
• Track claim status and communicate with insurance companies regarding pending or rejected claims,
• Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, or returned claims,
• Identify billing discrepancies and take the necessary corrective actions,
• Prepare and process invoices and patient bills,
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing and payment records,
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, administrative teams, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues,
• Ensure all billing activities are completed accurately and within required timelines,
• Assist with accounts receivable and outstanding payment follow-up,
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling patient and financial information,
• Prepare regular billing and claims reports when required,
• Stay updated on relevant insurance policies, billing procedures, and payer requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Medical Biller, preferably within a hospital, clinic, medical center, or healthcare organization,
• Good understanding of medical billing processes and insurance claims,
• Experience dealing with insurance companies and third-party payers,
• Experience handling rejected, denied, and pending claims,
• Good understanding of patient accounts, invoices, payments, and accounts receivable,
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy,
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Strong follow-up and communication skills,
• Good knowledge of medical terminology is preferred,
• Good computer skills and experience using billing or healthcare management systems,
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned billing tasks,
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information,
• Availability to work part-time on-site in Cairo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred,
• Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare insurance is highly desirable,
• Experience with medical billing software or electronic healthcare systems is an advantage,
• Experience with insurance pre-authorizations and claims processing is an advantage,
• Experience in a hospital, clinic, medical center, or healthcare insurance environment is preferred,
• Good command of English is preferred,
• Candidates with strong practical medical billing and insurance experience will be considered.
