Medical Coder

- Serves as principal point of resource for the AR-DRG, CPT, ICD-10-AM and ACHI. †mapping codes with MOH e-claims and Current codes.

- Develop New DRG codes and activate new CPTs based on International Coding System with suggestion and proposal for codes and prices.

- Follows procedures and guidelines for Coding and Abstracting systems and to work with ITD to update the computerized Coding systems and teaches coding use whenever needed.

- Breakdown of policies based on experience into ICD-10-AM, DRGs, and CPTs coding system to facilitate insurance coverage, approvals and billing.

- Develop projects for new services for In and Out-Patient departments i.e. define codes with relative cost based on international coding and pricing systems

- Compare existing Price List with other facilities to ensure proper utilization and cost effectiveness of services.

- Develop new services for IN and OUT patient departments to ensure proper utilization and cost effectiveness of service based on package costing (inclusion/exclusions) and review.
