Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead space programming and functional planning for healthcare facilities, including operating rooms (ORs), ICUs, imaging departments, clinics, inpatient units, and administrative offices.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, end-users, and project stakeholders to define project requirements and workflows.
  • Develop conceptual layouts and ensure alignment with healthcare operational needs.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards such as NFPA 99, ADA, and JCIA.
  • Participate in all design stages, from concept design through detailed design, construction documentation, and project handover.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and design deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Support project teams in resolving planning and design-related issues during construction.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, healthcare technologies, and planning best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Interior Architecture, Healthcare Design, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree in architecture, Healthcare Planning, or Healthcare Administration (preferred).
  • Additional certifications or training in healthcare design guidelines are an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare facility planning, hospital design, or medical architecture.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare planning principles and medical space programming.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (NFPA 99, ADA, JCIA).
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
