About This Role

The Medical Science Liaison Pipeline Immunology is a 70 % field-based medical expert who drives strategic scientific engagement to support Biogen's pipeline development in GCC. This role is a SME who provides high-quality medical & scientific support to key medical experts (KMEs), delivers complex scientific presentations, and leads expert discussions. They work on medical core pillars: data dissemination, data generation and medical insight collections. The MSL Pipeline conducts analysis and selection to define the KME universe for the respective country and establishes robust KME networks to support pipeline objectives. Ultimately, the role serves to advance Biogen's pipeline strategy through expert engagement, medical education, and evidence and insights generation.

What You'll Do

  • As a SME delivers high-quality, complex medical presentations and lead scientific discussions with KMEs to translate pipeline data into impactful content to inform clinical decision-making. Collects critical insights to inform local strategy.
  • Disseminate innovative medical education materials and support internal training on disease areas and treatments to ensure consistent, up-to-date knowledge across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current on therapy advances, research developments, and Biogen's products to maintain scientific credibility and relevance in all engagements. Attends congresses and conference as needed.
  • Provide field-based medical support to KMEs in GCC to build trusted relationships and ensure accurate understanding of pipeline therapies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., sales, market access, pharmacovigilance) by sharing appropriately insights and executing on an aligned medical plan in line with the overall organizational goals.
  • Organize and deliver medical education events and ensure compliance with local regulations to promote informed clinical decision-making.
  • Conduct analysis and selection to define the KME universe for GCC to identify and prioritize key experts for strategic engagement. Execute engagement plans as per plan.
  • Establish and maintain KME networks to support pipeline objectives to foster long-term partnerships that enhance medical insight and influence.
  • In line with country strategy contribute to expanded access program (EAP) communications to facilitate ethical and transparent access to investigational therapies.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Biogen's Code of Business Conduct and local SOPs to uphold ethical standards and regulatory requirements in all interactions.

Who You Are

You are a highly motivated, field-driven MSL with strong Immunology expertise, energized by scientific exchange and spending the majority of your time engaging external stakeholders across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. You bring a collaborative, flexible mindset, navigating cross-functional environments with maturity, resilience, and a genuine willingness to contribute beyond formal boundaries.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including 24 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
  • Master's degree in Medical or Life Sciences is required; advanced degrees such as M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D. are strongly preferred.
  • Field-driven mindset, with the willingness to spend approximately 70% of time in the field, engaging external stakeholders and representing the pipeline regionally.
  • Immunology experience is required, with the ability to confidently present complex scientific data and represent pipeline assets at a regional level.
  • Strong scientific acumen with the ability to engage in high-level, evidence-based discussions with healthcare professionals and key medical experts.
  • Working knowledge of cross-functional environments, including Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety (PV), Market Access, Legal, and Compliance, with demonstrated flexibility in navigating cross-functional challenges.
  • Experience in both Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East (GCC) region is preferred, supporting effective regional engagement and growth.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% across the region.
  • Fluency in English is required.
