Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Health Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite insurance policies for medium to large-scale corporate groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess insurance applications by analyzing medical records, health history, and lifestyle factors.
  • Apply underwriting guidelines to determine suitable coverage, premium rates, and policy terms.
  • Collaborate with brokers, agents, and healthcare professionals to collect and verify relevant information.
  • Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, medical innovations, and updated underwriting standards to enhance risk evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for confidential records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of professional ethics.
  • Knowledge of health insurance products and medical terminology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including DOH, DHA, and MOH.
