Project Description

We're building a delivery team for a large, multi-phase enterprise Mendix programme and are looking for a Mendix Expert-certified Solution Architect to lead its architecture. The programme extends an existing multi-app Mendix solution built by another team, with new modules, a native iOS/Android app and about 20 system integrations through an enterprise service bus (ESB). These include government services, banks, a payment gateway, and enterprise platforms such as CRM and finance. The platform is fully bilingual Arabic/English with right-to-left layout, and uses national digital identity (OIDC) for sign-in and e-signature.

Role summary

We are looking for a Mendix Solution Architect to lead solution architecture, integration design and the development approach, and to guide a Mendix delivery team from analysis through go-live.

Key responsibilities

• Onboard onto an existing Mendix solution: models, architecture, integrations, environments and CI/CD, including handover sessions with the previous team.

• Produce the reuse analysis and target solution architecture: domain model, app landscape, security design and non-functional requirements approach.

• Support detailed analysis workshops with technical feasibility and integration input.

• Own the integration design and the Integration Assumption Register (method, direction, operations, real-time or batch, dependencies).

• Run early technical spikes on document generation, native RTL, payments, ECM and e-signature.

• Set up the development approach: shared components, coding standards, branching, and the release and wave plan.

• Design reusable workflow components and long-running case handling, including Mendix workflow versioning.

Experience

• 8-10+ years in Mendix development.

• 5+ years in a solution architect role.

• Mendix workflows at scale, including long-running processes.

• Integration through an enterprise ESB or API layer.

• OIDC / SSO and ECM integration (e.g. CMIS).

• Deployment on Azure or Kubernetes.
